George Majika scored the first goal on football resumption in Zimbabwe as Chicken Inn beat Bulawayo City 2-0 but it was the league champions FC Platinum who showed a gulf between them and the other league clubs with a convincing 6-0 win over WhaWha in the first group games of the Chibuku Super Cup.

FC Platinum who were playing in the CAF African Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup earlier in the year were menacing scoring three goals in each half, with two time Zimbabwe footballer of the year Rodwell Chinyengetere who returned from a stint with Baroka FC scoring a hat trick.

It was double scorer Silas Songani who was once based in Denmark who put FC Platinum in the lead early in the first half before Chinyengetere scored twice before halftime to make it 3-0.

Songani made it four, fourteen minutes into the second half with his second before Chinyengetere completed his hat trick nine minutes.
